Skiing in winter

Glide from the hotel straight into the snow

homepage

The Arlberg is more than just a place of longing — it is a playground for mountaineers. As the heart of the Lechtal Alps, it is one of the most impressive climbing regions in Austria. Rugged ridges, clear mountain air and genuine summit experiences make every tour something special.

Ski-in/Ski-out

Right outside the front door.

Glide from the hotel straight into the snow. Move along the slopes or across untouched terrain.

At Goldener Berg, this comes naturally — ski-in, ski-out, directly from the hotel.

On the slopes

At 1,700 meters above sea level,
340 kilometers of slopes.

Helmet, ski clothing, boots, skis and poles — that’s all you need for a day on the slopes. Step straight out of Goldener Berg and glide onto the white runs. The more adventurous may even take on the World Cup downhill at the Arlberg.

Off-piste

200 kilometers

away from the slopes.

The snow wind blows at you, the sun makes the pristine white landscape around you glow, in the air just the sound of your skiing movements in the snow: The Arlberg offers a wide range of untraced slopes for freeriding.

From March, the local slopes are also just right for anyone who loves firn and sun skiing. When the sun is shining, you can feel the firn snow gripping and literally carrying you down into the valley.

Ski touring

Moving at your own pace.

Away from the lifts, experienced guides lead you to the most beautiful places around Lech Zürs. Step by step, the path winds through untouched snow — adapted to the terrain, conditions and your own pace.

With a trained eye for weather and avalanche conditions, you move through the winter mountain landscape. At the top, the view opens wide — and the descent follows your own line through the snow.

Out of bed
on the slopes.

Time for a trip to the snowy mountain peaks.

Time for a trip to hotel Goldener Berg.

Beyond the slopes

Experience winter differently.

Not every day begins on skis. Sometimes, the path simply leads outside.

Away from the slopes, winter reveals itself more quietly. Trails begin right in front of the house, leading through the snow-covered landscape — on foot, with snowshoes or on skates. Step by step across wide open spaces, downhill on a toboggan or by horse-drawn sleigh through the still mountain world. Even on the ice, new forms of movement emerge.

In this way, winter unfolds in its own rhythm — calm, expansive and close at the same time.

Après-Ski

Between sun, music
and indulgence.

After a day on the slopes, the focus shifts back to the house. Skis are set aside, voices grow livelier and the sun terrace begins to fill. Glasses are raised, music drifts through the air and the scent of the mountain grill carries across.

Some linger outside in the sun, others move inside to the bar. Between a relaxed stop, an apéritif and fine dining, the ski day comes to a lively close.

Everything is connected.
