With the awareness that, despite all measures, not all options have been exhausted and that new paths and methods are constantly emerging over the course of time, we are striving every day still more environmental awareness to be incorporated into our concepts. Last but not least, we would like to mention that our guests also contribute significantly to our vision. They help us by conscious use of resources to show the appropriate appreciation for our environment

Milestones.

  • 1996: By building the underground tunnel network are goods transported by e-vehicles even in winter.
  • 2005: Construction of a "Fernwärmeheizwerk“ (district heating plant)—Oberlech is completely free of oil heating systems.
  • 2018: Thermal refurbishment of the hotel: warm roof, triple glazed windows, insulation
  • 2023: Implementation of numerous measures, award with Austrian Ecolabel & EU Ecolabel
  • 2024: Renovation of building technology, heating control, solar system, heat recovery, ventilation system, etc.

Conserve resources.

  • Shampoos & soaps in reusable dispensers
  • Use of pure natural cosmetic products
  • wasting water by restricting the flow of water mitigated
  • Avoiding plastic of all types — such as wooden ballpoint pens
  • Avoid disposable tableware and packaging
  • Development of a waste management concept, to properly separate waste
  • Dosing systems for cleaning, washing and dishwashing agents, using the eco-line of these products
  • Use of wooden tables, in order avoid using table linen
  • Reduction of power consumption through motion detectors and LED lamps
  • Use of reusable containers
  • Avoid using radiant heaters outdoors

We strive to do the best we can, at all times. But please also be forgiving with us, as we are not yet always and everywhere at the best possible level.

  • Plant-based alpine cuisine: Focus on plants
  • Fine dining restaurant: Vegetarian — vegan
  • Changing menus with Alkaline vegan selection
  • Our goods only come from the Alpine region
  • Organic products are a priority
  • Avoid animal products that are on red lists
  • Food Waste will be avoided: The portions of the menus have been reduced and we are happy to serve a supplement at any time!
  • We prefer organic juices from Vorarlberg.
  • It is important to us to produce as little waste as possible as a result of the processing of food.
