As early as 1966, James Turrell, born in Los Angeles in 1943, began experimenting with light and space. From the very beginning, his atmospheric installations explored the many ways in which light can be perceived. They laid the foundation for the now more than 75 Skyspaces around the world.
At the Arlberg, you can now experience this for yourself — gazing up into the vast sky from within one of these works of art, and simply marvel.
Guided tours are offered regularly. Reservations are recommended and can be made by phone or email via Lech Zürs Tourism.
