Golf in Lech

Tee off with a mountain view

homepage

Some guests come for the mountains. Others for the silence between the peaks. And some for a game that finds its own rhythm up here.

From Oberlech, the route leads down the valley toward Zug. At around 1,500 meters, a wide open space unfolds in the Zug Valley between the river and the slopes. This is where the Lech Golf Club is located.

Lech Golf Club

The nine lanes are spread over both sides of the Lech River. The trail leads upstream towards Rote Wand to Zugertobel. After the third tee, the train runs along the Lech river to the Stierlochbach, later past the fishing pond and finally back to the starting point.

At the tee, beginners stand next to guests who have been accompanying their game for years. The complex follows the course of the landscape. Only a few careful and careful interventions were necessary to fit the place into this alpine environment. The river Lech rushes behind the fairways.

“Austria's most beautiful 9-hole course 2025”

It is not without reason that the Lech golf course was officially recognised by Golf in Austria as the “Most beautiful 9-hole course in Austria 2025."

As a guest at Goldener Berg, the Lech Golf Club is only a few minutes away in the Zuger Valley. For rounds on the 9-hole course and at all other golf courses in Vorarlberg, hotel guests receive a 20 percent discount on the green fee.Ermäßigung von 20 Prozent auf das Greenfee.

Playing with others

Some come for a quiet round along the Lech. Others want to measure their game in competition.

Bludenz-Braz Golf Club

Between Bludenz and the Arlberg, in the quiet Klostertal valley, lies the second place to which Goldener Berg is connected as a founding member: Golfclub Bludenz-Braz.

Eighteen holes lead gradually uphill – past hay barns, alpine huts and small streams, with the Lechtal Alps always in view. What began in 1996 with nine holes grew into today's full course in 2004. The club also features a driving range, pitching and putting green, and a panoramic terrace.

More places in the region

For those staying longer, opportunities to play extend well beyond the Zugertal valley: Golfclub Brand in the Brandnertal, Golfclub Montafon in Tschagguns, Golfpark Montfort Rankweil, Golfpark Bregenzerwald in Riefensberg, and Golfpark Mieminger Plateau in Tyrol. All courses are reachable from Goldener Berg in around one and a half hours by car.

Ready to tee off.

Those who wish to prepare their game with intention will find the space to do so within the house. Under professional guidance, arms, shoulders and the cervical spine are mobilised, stretched and strengthened. Exercises for coordination and movement patterns support the preparation for the next round.

After the game, the way leads back to Oberlech. In the Alpine Spa, it becomes quieter as the view drifts across the slopes outside. Later in the evening, dishes from the natural kitchen are served in the restaurants.
