Bike tour

The Spullersee tour

A long mountain bike tour through the vivid landscape around Lake Spullersee.

Start your ride in Lech and make your way to the toll station in Zug. From there, the route follows a paved road towards Gasthof Älpele, before climbing steadily up to the dam of Lake Spullersee.

Take in the views as you circle the lake, then continue uphill towards Ravensburger Hütte. From here, the trail leads on to Alpe Brazer Staffel and further up to Stierlochjoch.

The winding switchbacks of the Stierloch offer a thrilling stretch before the route drops steeply down towards Zug, eventually guiding you to the Fischteich.

Along the way, a variety of mountain huts and places to stop invite you to pause, rest and enjoy.

Bike & Trail

The Burgwald trail.

485 meters of elevation over a distance of around three kilometers – this route has plenty to offer. The Burgwald Trail winds its way down alongside the toboggan run from Oberlech to Lech am Arlberg.

The trail is designed to suit everyone from beginners to experienced downhill riders. And if the ride itself isn’t enough, you can add a little extra challenge: along the way, optional features invite you to push your limits.

If you prefer a more relaxed ride, these sections can easily be bypassed via the “Easy Line”.

Bike & Hike

Mountain biking and hiking in combination.

Fast and in the middle of nature, you can get to great starting points for further hiking tours by (e) bike.

Bike & Hike

Lech — Freiburger Hütte — Saladinaspitze.

his is the tour to the Saladinaspitze. Fitness and experience are essential.

Ride by bike to Zug, continue towards Formarinsee and on to Freiburger Hütte. From there, the demanding trail leads through a green high valley, across a wide rocky field and over a narrow ridge to the Saladinaspitze at 2,238 meters.

Stunning views over the Klostertal and Montafon, along with a heart-shaped opening in the rock face, reward the ascent.

Bike & Hike

Lech — Freiburgerhütte — Roggelskopf.

The mountain bike tour in Lech starts towards Zug, past Lake Formarinsee to the bike destination, the Freiburger Hütte.

It is then on foot through alpine meadows along the Mason Trail and along the ridge under the Gwurfjoch. You cross a gravel field until you reach the foot of the mountain. From there, a steep climb leads to the summit — with a few easy climbing sites, some of which are equipped with rope safety devices.

It is important to be sure-footed and not afraid of heights — accompanying a mountain guide is recommended!

Bike & Hike

Lech — Formarinalpe — around Formaletsch.

The bike tour starts in the picturesque Zug Valley and takes you on the asphalt road past Gasthaus Älpele to the turnoff towards Formarinalpe. Shortly after the famous Capricorn sculpture at the start of the Lechweg trail, park your bike and continue your journey on foot.

The trail takes you to the Stone Sea, where you can discover numerous fossils such as ammonites. For mountaineers, a short detour to Formaletsch is worthwhile. The winding path leads up to the 2,292 meter high viewing mountain.

The trail along the eastern shore of the lake requires sure-footedness, a head for heights and good footwear. With smaller children, it is better to use the wider dirt road.

Through forests, over mountains and along rivers:
If we take good care of our body, it will carry us on our way through a powerful life.

Pumptrack Oberelch

On waves and curves.

From July to early September, you can go on a pump track on the meadow in front of Sonnenburg.

The modularly constructed route of waves and curves is traveled without pedaling. The bike is propelled forward by targeted up and down movements of the body — so-called “pumping”. This improves driving skills, strengthens muscles and trains balance.

Whether beginner or advanced, young or old — everyone can use the pump tracks provided by Bike Club Arlberg. Suitable dirt bikes can be rented from Sportalp Lech.
