Our Extra: A Breathing Exercise for Strength in Between
By "in between," we mean an anchor. Take time in everyday life to reconnect with yourself. Often, the mind is already in the future or stuck in the past, while the body struggles to "manage" the present.
Plan moments where you consciously check in – with your body, in the here and now. This breathing exercise can help:
Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and place one hand on your heart, the other on your belly. Breathe deeply through your nose, allowing your belly to rise gently. If you wish, imagine yourself standing on the terrace of the Golden Mountain, breathing in the fresh mountain air.
Hold your breath for a moment, then exhale slowly and fully through your slightly open mouth. As you breathe, focus entirely on the feeling of air flowing in and out. Feel how each breath brings you closer to yourself, how stress and tension melt away, and how you immerse yourself in the present moment. This short breathing exercise helps you arrive within, calm your thoughts, and create an oasis of peace amidst life’s hustle and bustle.
